Objectives and activities of the organization:

State University „Alecu Russo” from Balti (SUB), founded in 1945, comprises 7 Faculties, in various areas (Fundamental Sciences, Humanities and Art, Economic Sciences). 510 teaching staff, 6000 students (including 2000 at part time studies), LMD system. 34 Bachelor programs and 24 Master programs. ECTS system. Quality assurance department. Significant bibliographic resources, 1.3 mln electronic copies of books. Studies in progress on computerized education and university management. Development strategy 2009-2013, that states the implementation of computerized university system and on-line studies.

 

Role of the organization in the project:

  • Faculties that will participate in the project: Faculty of Real Science, Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Economy, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agro-ecology.
  • The university will participate in all joint activities: representation of functional structures, information merging and its dissemination, training sessions for teaching staff / students, internal quality evaluation, synthesis, proposals for study methods designing, introduction of e-learning in the educational process of SUB.
  • The specific contributions will be:
    • The appointment of the teaching staff (or technicians) in order to enable the UNT network,
    • Participation of the teaching staff in working groups in: Mathematics and Applied Physics, Economic Management,
    • E-learning experience provided by trainers from 3 faculties,
    • Participation in summary sessions, final report, EL prospective introduction, regional symposium.
