Objectives and activities of the organization:

State University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Nicolae Testemitanu”, founded in 1945, comprises 6 faculties in Medical Sciences. It includes 600 teaching staff 7000 students, uniquely involved in a system made up of 4 programs at the I cycle (5-6 years) and internship (3-5 years), 31 programs. Doctorate (4-5 years – 420 PhD students). Training in 4 languages for foreign students (Ro, Ru, Fr, Engl). Francophone Department, Certified ISO 9001, Department of Quality Assurance. Continuing Professional Training (3700 doctors in Public Health Management School). The e-learning method, stipulated in the development plan 2010-2020.

Role of the organization in the project:

• The faculties involved in the project will be: Faculty of Medicine I and II, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Residency (eventually Faculty of Continuing Medical and Pharmaceutical Education)
• The University will participate in all joint activities: representation of functional structures, information merging and its dissemination; training sessions of the teaching staff / students; internal quality assessment; synthesis, proposals on the design of teaching methods, by introducing e-learning in SUMF’s educational process.
• The specific contributions will be:
  • operation (with the help of other universities) of the UNT server,
  • the appointment of teachers for the biology-medicine group, responsible for the creation of EL, especially the ones specialized in the field (with Pisa, Rennes I and Ghent),
  • the testing of e-learning, with the previous training of trainers. Participation in the synthesis, final report, prospective. Regional conference.
