Objectives and activities of the organization:

The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (AESM) was founded in 1991, and comprises 6 Faculties in social sciences, management, business affairs and law. 850 teaching staff is teaching 13500 students (3000 at part time studies) at 12 Bachelor programs, 22 Master programs (2200 students), and 300 PhD students. The university is certified based on ISO 2000. It is endowed with important informational equipment (1000 computers) interconnected in an internal and external network (peripheral network), video-conference equipment. Internal Quality Department. AESM Business incubators, MACIP – Business Training Centre, Continuing Education Centre.

Role of the organization in the project:

• The participating faculties will be: Economics and Law, Statistics and Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics, Business Management and Administration (lower contribution from other faculties).
• The university will participate in all common activities: representation of the functional structures, information merging and its distribution, teaching staff/students’ training sessions, internal quality evaluation, synthesis, proposals for learning methods modeling by introducing e-learning strategies in the educational process of AESM.
• The specific contributions will be:
  • The appointment of the teaching staff in order to enable the UNT network (IT specialists).
  • Participation in working groups in Mathematics and Applied Statistics (economics), Economics and Management resulting in EL, basic and specialized.
  • E-learning disciplinary areas corresponding to the previous training of trainers.
  • Participation in summary sessions, final report, EL prospective introduction, regional symposium.
