Objectives and activities of the organization:

The University of Santiago de Compostella (USC) has two campuses: Saint Jacques in Santiago, with 19 faculties and schools, Lugo campus with 6 faculties and schools - 27 Research Institutes – 42000 students (including 1500 foreign students) – 2000 teachers. L-M-D system. Strong international dimension (Creation of the Higher European Education Area - EHEA).

In the Lugo campus, the Polytechnic School of Lugo ensures the training of engineers in different areas (civil engineering, agriculture, forestry, agrifood) and 5 corresponding Master programs. The Agrifood Department has established and Educational and Research Center for the production of diary products (The Diary Technological Center of Galicia) with directions of activity: R&D, continuing professional training (since 1993, 85 courses), e-learning platform (Lucus LMS) with virtual simulators in Diary Industry (2001), MP simulators (2009) and many EL since 1998.

Role of the organization in the project:

• USC will intervene by ESP de Lugo and its tele-training platform (Aula Virtual) of the Diary Technological Center of Galicia CT Lacteo, which has the necessary competence (since 1998) and experienced staff in the use of e-learning.
• As part of the project CT Lacteo:
  • Will be responsible in Moldavian teaching staff training, by showing them the facilities and presenting the role of e-learning in Center’s activity,
  • Will provide the training of GTech group regarding the technical operation of a production network and EL dissemination,
  • Will make up the GTD group (34 teachers) for the development of e-learning (seminar in Moldova),
  • Will receive the work group „Biology” to present the EL achievements within EPS and provide consultancy on the EL content in Moldova.
• EPS will be member of the functional structure (it will participate in meetings, especially in the summary ones) of the Consulting Committee (prospective mission) and will take part at the regional conference.
